Scary-Crayon updated! and Neo Deep Dive Batman!
Category: Art … SC Updates

YEP! I'm about ready to pass out, but I couldn't crash before finishing Leatherhead and Don's Netiquette Special!!! It's more of a rant on my part than anything else, with Super Don and Leatherhead as mouthpieces (though there is some "witty" banter in there, because there always is), but hopefully it'll open a few eyes or something. And I'm trying a new image referral script out, so if you notice any cow anuses popping up around the site, shoot me an e-mail and I'll try to fix it. It should only show up for foreign referrals, but then again I don't exactly know what I'm doing here... Anyway, hope you enjoy the piece. (more...)

the BATMAN... and more!
Category: Art

Hello furenzu! No Scary-Crayon updates today (either tomorrow or Friday, I'm thinking, and not the Hellraiser piece, but another one I need to photograph, and thanks, Dave, for your question -- I intend to answer it in the article itself, in the analytical musings that follow the description of the dream!), but I do have some drawings to share. Also, I got a call yesterday about a month-long temp job at the county community college, which I've accepted, but I have yet to be called back and told about the specifics of it. Suffice it to say that since I'm still going to be working part-time at the bookstore (a few closing shifts a week), I'll be pretty busy for the next month or so. Hopefully I'll still have time to update SC at least once a week, even if it's short pieces like installments of Crayon Poetry Corner and A Crayon Haiku. Or dream things. I don't imagine that piece will be terribly long either. Long enough, though.

So, drawings! This first one should appeal to Bob, Chris, and De (and hopefully others), so do let me know what you think, guys. It's...

the BATMAN

the BATMAN!!!

Yep. (more...)

Jobs, dreams, drawings, and updates.
Category: Art … Dreams

So, less than a week before I head off to NYC for a few days. I still need to purchase another memory stick for my digicam (who knows if I'll get around to doing it, though... but I guess I could always do it in NYC?), and hopefully I'll be able to get some job interviews scheduled. Alas, I haven't had any luck with that yet. Sigh. (more...)

Scary-Crayon Updated!
Category: Art … SC Updates

ENTER THE CACTUS! At long last, Scary-Crayon reviews Naked Blood. Not sure if I'd recommend viewing at work, but there is a nice handy-dandy warning included in the article (for comedic effect, mostly, but it works as a legitimate warning too) right before the gruesome defining scene of the film, so theoretically you could read up to that point and then save the rest for home perusal. Or you could take a chance! Up to you. 🙂 (more...)

Random Friday night post.
Category: Art

Hello, fright fans! Plans for tonight fell through, so I figured I'd get in a quick Friday night blog entry before I continue with the drinking (there's already been some swiggage from my $5.99 1.5L bottle of sweet vermouth -- nice stuff there) and maybe do a bit of cooking. I'd tell you what it is, maybe post some pics of the last time I made it (I didn't photograph the entire process, just the finale), but I hope to have it up on Scary-Crayon one day and I'd hate to spoil the surprise, so I won't (it's truly a Wes original -- the product of my boredom and desire to use ingredients one night that year I had an illegal hot plate in my dorm room). Speaking of SC, hopefully I'll get some work done on that next article either tonight or tomorrow. Ideally I'd put it up Sunday, except we never really get that many visits on Sundays -- not that we get tons on other days either, at least not lately -- so it probably wouldn't hurt if I left it for Monday. Anyway. (more...)
