Maybe I'll get a minute to sit down and post the week-in-review from work, but here's a preview of what you've got to look forward to: On Saturday night, someone telephoned the bookstore and threatened to shoot our manager after the store closed. Yep. Stay tuned for the details.

Two new pieces on the good Scary-Crayon -- A Crayon Haiku #17 and the first of yet another SC featurette, Dusty Plastic Hell: Hot Flash #1. The explanation for the latter piece -- at the bookstore we sell a porn mag (and a rather popular one at that) called "Black Tail". I don't endorse the mag at all (for obvious reasons), but with Shark Tale hitting theaters soon, the idea occurred to me to do a cover mockup of "Shark Tail" Magazine. So here it is. Amused? I am. YEP! I'm about ready to pass out, but I couldn't crash before finishing Leatherhead and Don's Netiquette Special!!! It's more of a rant on my part than anything else, with Super Don and Leatherhead as mouthpieces (though there is some "witty" banter in there, because there always is), but hopefully it'll open a few eyes or something. And I'm trying a new image referral script out, so if you notice any cow anuses popping up around the site, shoot me an e-mail and I'll try to fix it. It should only show up for foreign referrals, but then again I don't exactly know what I'm doing here... Anyway, hope you enjoy the piece. (more...)

There's still more time in between updates than I'd like, but hopefully I'll get back into something resembling a rhythm soon. Even two irregular updates a week would be nice. Anyway, here's A Random Lunch #7! Perceptive visitors to the site might notice that there hasn't yet been A Random Lunch #6... #5 was posted a couple of months ago, but nothing since then. That's intentional. I have my reasons, but really, do I need them? The segment's called A Random Lunch, after all... and given the element of randomness present, there's no reason why I should be bound to posting them in order. So nyah. Anyway, enjoy!

I'm opening in the morning at the bookstore (ugh), so I guess I should be heading off to bed. But at least I've got a few days off following that. Then more closing fun! Yay! No, those aren't celebratory fireworks... that's the sound of me shooting myself multiple times. BECAUSE IT'S THE FUNNEST!!! Bonus points for anyone who can name the source (more/less) of the italicized line.
