HI! So I got in from Shore Leave around 4-ish, checked a few things, and then crashed for a few hours. I think I'll crash for a few more, but I thought I'd post first and make it known that I did not get murdered or raped in any way. Well, perhaps a little more of my always-decreasing faith in the human race died a horribly bloody death, and some of the things that I saw left my eyeballs feeling horribly violated and scarred, but my figurative rectal cherry remains unpopped and I don't have any new orifices in places they don't belong, like over my left breast or in between my ribs. So that's good. (more...)
Yay! Wasn't sure I'd make it with a new piece before I left, but here we are -- A Random Lunch #5! Check it out. 😀
Now I'm off to finish packing for Shore leave, but I'll be back Sunday night! Hope I don't get attacked by any killer kangaroos at the con... Wild stuff, eh? The kangaroo gave the dog a Kevorkian bath.
Ja for now!
Sorry about the lack of posts lately -- been working and stuff. 😛 But this weekend I'm getting a bit of a vacation, since if all goes well I'll be heading out to Shore Leave with Em and De of Retroactive Continuity. My mum's all worried about it -- "Those weirdos from the Internet will rape and torture and kill you!" -- but hopefully I'll still be able to go. I'm 22, damnit! But now if I disappear or something, you know who to spam. 😛 (more...)
It's a little late in the day, but I said I'd get it up, so here it is... the official SC review of "Power Rangers in Space: Shell Shocked", i.e. the episode containing the historic meeting of the Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Enjoy! I'll probably be back later to talk about my life and crap. 😛
Hi all. Expect a new Scary-Crayon piece up tomorrow (Tuesday) -- I'd hoped to have it up today, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I think it'll be worth the wait, though. Spectare reviews are always fun, and especially so when they involve our five half-shelled heroes... waitaminute, five?!? That's the only hint you're getting.
In other news, I finished a new (really) short story! 890 words. I'm going to sit on it for a few days, maybe let some folks read it and offer suggestions, then throw it at a market and see if it sticks. FYI, Word's Readability Statistics rate it at 57.5 for Flesch Reading Ease and 12.0 for Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level. I dunno exactly what those stats mean, but they sure make my writing sound complicated. 😛 (more...)
