I am still awake from last night. I haven't slept. Soon, hopefully.

I wonder if it has something to do with that utterly terrifying dream I had the previous night? I have a lot of really weird dreams, but they don't usually continue to scare me after I wake from them -- but that one had me trembling underneath my covers and trying to convince myself that the thing from my dream wasn't still prowling around in my room. It was one of those dreams where you're not really sure you were asleep, so you're not really sure that being awake makes much of a difference -- because you might have been awake before, too. Admittedly, I'm feeling better tonight than I have been in the past few days. Which isn't to say that I'm bubbling over with mirth (I doubt I'd be that joyous even if I sold a story -- still waiting on those rejections from Playboy and Ideomancer...), but I'm not as down as I was this time last night. Happy March! Two new pieces -- A Crayon Haiku #6 and a cover review of the December 2003 issue of "O, The Oprah Magazine". Hopefully it's the last time you'll see Oprah on the site. I wish it were the last time any of us saw her ever, but that's not bloody likely at all. (more...)
