Thus revealed, the creature buried its nose in the tire-tilled soil...

Scary-Crayon updated! Etc.
Category: SC Updates

Happy March! Two new pieces -- A Crayon Haiku #6 and a cover review of the December 2003 issue of "O, The Oprah Magazine". Hopefully it's the last time you'll see Oprah on the site. I wish it were the last time any of us saw her ever, but that's not bloody likely at all.

If you haven't read the last two entries (here and here, or scroll down, as necessary), please give them a look over, and send comments if you've got anything to say. I'm going to leave them up, but part of me wishes I hadn't posted them, since there's always invariably a respose that gets people talking about "recognizing 'difference' or 'otherness'" or some crap like that, and then the cultural relativists and the diversity advocates speak up and I just want to throw up my hands in despair and leap into a canyon somewhere. I feel even worse right now than I did after writing those posts. But on more than a few levels that isn't surprising. 🙁

I may have more to say about those responses later, if I survive the crash against the rocks.

Aaaand I just had a thought. Illustrated poems on Scary-Crayon? It's a possibility.

April article this week, hopefully. Ja for now.
