So I'm having a bit of a problem with the computer right now. Tried to run the virus scanner but after the thing ran for about an hour and a half (no viruses found thus far) and had still gone almost nowhere I opened up the window to find that it had wasted most of that time scanning some temporary internet files, yet these files didn't go away when I cleared the IE cache. Grrr! So I stopped the virus scanner to go get rid of these -- apparently I'm supposed to run Disk Cleanup to get rid of them -- and Disk Cleanup won't run. It starts, but then it hangs while scanning old files for compression purposes so that it can tell me how much space I'd stand to gain by letting it do its cleaning work. I DON'T CARE; I JUST WANT THE FILES GONE! So yeah, it's pissing me off. I guess I'll have to delete them (or at least the ones I can see...) manually. (Check.) Then defrag. THEN run Disk Cleanup. Then run the virus scanner. Hm, maybe I should burn/delete some files while I'm at it, too.

I know this stuff, really; I've done it before. But (obviously) it's been a while. Stop laughing. And hope my computer doesn't die in the course of all of this. It's going on what, its 6th year? With everything else sucking, now would be the perfect time for it to pass on. DON'T GO INTO THE LIGHT MACHINE PLZ I LUV U STAY OK? ;________; Um, right.

Oh, and I'm now running the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, not to mention Mozilla Thunderbird. So now that I'm sporting that, my Gmail account has some serious competition on its hands... but we'll see how that goes. At the very least, those of you used to hearing from me via the SC e-mail address won't have to put up with those annoying Yahoo advertisements anymore. 😉
