Thus revealed, the creature buried its nose in the tire-tilled soil...

A storm, an anecdote, and four pictures.
Category: Miscellany

Nasty weather we're having, eh? For those of you not in the area, we're in the middle of a heavy rain-thunder-lightning-hailstorm. But hey, at least I'm not without background noise...it almost sounds like it's coming through the roof. I hope not!

Speaking of things coming through the roof, several years ago a hive of bees took up residence in there and, after gnawing a hole in the ceiling of my room, came swarming through in a great cloud of yellow-and-black stinging DEATH. I was at school at the time, so I avoided their wrath, but to this day I still find the occasional crumbling bee corpse tucked away among my possessions.

Hmmm...that just gave me an idea for a short story...

TheSquare D.C. Happy Hour, May 13, 2004

The pics from the event I wrote about a few days ago are up in TheSquare's event gallery, so if you're a member you can check 'em out. If not, you can still see the picture starring your ol' pal Wes above. As a courtesy to the other people in the picture (most of whose names I can't remember, sadly), I've given them the black bar treatment, because somehow that's supposed to shield their identities from the world at large. It worked for Robin, anyway.

IT'S CRAZY BABY!!!!!!

I swung by Amanda's blog today and scrolled down a bit to find the INSANITY you see above. I've encountered similar wackiness on several blogs (you're not the only one, Amanda), so I'm wondering if it's my browser or if Blogger's recent upgrade still has a few kinks that need to be worked out. Things that make you go, "Hmmmm."

The Teen Titans @ Scary-Crayon!!!

And before they debut on Scary-Crayon at some point, you saw 'em here first -- the Teen Titans! Those are the four figures from the gift set I got not too long ago, plus a Robin that I recently won in an eBay lot. I'll still probably pick up the 'toon Titans Robin and Cyborg figures, but these figures look weird enough for them to shine in SC toy comics... especially Robin. Not only are the figure's proportions WAY off -- he's actually about as tall as the others, but his head is REALLY tiny -- but he's also got those weird reptilian shoulderpads. Yep.

GREEN RADIANCE!!!

And check it out, Starfire's eyes light up! TEEN TITANS, GO!

Alrighty, that's all I've got. New article on SC tomorrow. The adventures with cheese continue... Oh, and the rain stopped! BUT FOR HOW LONG...?
