Also, by now you've guessed or seen the other guesses regarding the origin of the logo on my cap (cf. this entry) -- it is indeed the symbol of the alien symbiote that once aided Peter Parker and later went on to bond with Eddie Brock, thus resulting in the creation of VENOM. As a clue, I wrote: I want to eat your brains. Here's the meaning of that reference (image swiped from an ebay auction photo):

Rumor has it that the toy was actually pulled from the shelves for that saying! And I think it's true, seeing as how I've got several of the talking figures but not Venom -- which means he somehow eluded my grasp and I don't think he would've been able to do so without the help of the recall man. I did see the figure in person, though, and still remember pressing the button in the stores and delighting to hear Venom hiss about wanting to gobble up Spidey's squishy grey matter. That truly was a great toy. 🙂
