Yep! This morning Scary-Crayon received its first reader donation. This is great news for SC and a feel-good moment for me -- I've visited and enjoyed a number of sites, but unless the club pack I ordered from I-Mockery counts (and even then I got something for it), I've never donated anything to them. Maybe that's just because I'm cheap (and haven't worked in a while, so I don't have that much in my dwindling bank account to spare), but still, that someone would donate anything to SC says to me that someone really likes our material. Given the time and energy I put into the site, that makes me glad. 🙂

When the e-mail about the donation showed up in my inbox, I kinda freaked out -- I thought someone had hacked into my Paypal account and was stealing my funds, so I wasted no time logging on and viewing the details of the transaction. And then I was like, "Whoa...someone paid us...?" And the message confirmed it. It still didn't quite register with me, since I was half asleep at the time, but now that I'm fully awake (at nearly 1 AM, ha) I can thank our contributor properly. So from me, on behalf of SC, thanks a lot, Daniel. 🙂

In other news, I had some reeeeeaaaaally weird and messed up dreams last night, but I'll save them for the next post. And in order to give the latest article some time to marinate and work its magic, I think I'll keep the next SC update until Saturday. But it's already doing its thing. For example, SC got 95 unique visitors on March 29. But yesterday? 219. The TMNT anime keeps 'em comin'. 😀
