Stuff that's happened

So. Several things have changed in the week or so it's been since my last post that wasn't primarily a Scary-Crayon notice. (By the way, the one-year anniversary is tomorrow! STAY TUNED!) Wednesday was my last official day of work at the community college, so now I'm back down to one part-time job for the time being. Mixed feelings about that -- yeah, I did like a few of the people with whom I worked there, and the job certainly paid more than the bookstore job (and was a little less infuriating, in part for that reason), but at the same time I can use the extra time I'll have to start getting some things in order. Not having to wake up at 5AM or ride public transportation will be nice too. So yeah, I'll have less money (a lot less money, actually) but more time to relax. And speaking of relaxing, on Saturday I didn't have to go into the bookstore because of the snow, so I actually ended up with a three day weekend, which was pretty sweet. I got a lot of rest, but sadly enough, I didn't have any dreams worth remembering, let alone fantastic ones like I used to have a couple of years ago. Back then, I actually used to get excited about going to sleep... like I was about to embark on a great adventure. I miss those nights and mornings.

Did a lot of movie watching this weekend, too. In addition to watching the highly entertaining Cutey Honey live action flick, I stayed up late last night watching Before Sunrise and Before Sunset back to back. I really love those movies -- in fact, not that I saw a ton of new releases last year, but Before Sunset is my favorite movie of 2004.

Favorite movie of 2004.

I haven't seen it appear on any of my fellow bloggers' lists, but it's nice to know that some folks agree. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was my pick for runner-up, too. I should be a film critic. 😉

Okay, now I've got to shower and run so I can make it to the bookstore by 4PM. See you tomorrow for the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF SCARY-CRAYON! Ja.
