Scary-Crayon updated! And sickness. And dreams.
Category: Dreams … SC Updates

The thirteenth Dusty Plastic HELL: Hot Flash is up! You may get a chuckle or two out of it. More holiday goodness is on the way! We've still got two more Gumby shorts to review, you know.

In other news, yeah, I'm still feeling ill. Woke up around 9AM this morning, felt like hell, took some store brand Nyquil, drank some water and microwaved V8, and then went back to sleep and didn't rise again until roughly 3PM. I hadn't planned on sleeping so damned late, but I guess I needed the rest. I feel a little better now. (more...)

As promised, here's Christmas with Gumby, Part 2! Hopefully tonight I'll get that Hot Flash I mentioned up. JOY!  😀

And now, I must get ready to go to the bloody bookstore.  🙁

Also, I've apparently come down with something! I hate being sick.  🙁

Ja.

YES! This time we've got two new pieces for you -- in addition to another bookstore episode of Dusty Plastic HELL: Hot Flash, we've got (finally) a new article entitled How to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. Whether you participated in or ever plan on participating in NaNoWriMo or not, I think it's worth a read if you're at all interested in writing, as it offers a sort of indirect critique of fiction writing -- and what people think constitutes good writing -- on a larger scale. In any case, I think it's pretty smart work for someone who can't get published to save his life! HA! And despite the numerous excerpts from my own intentionally wacky novel, The Absolute Strangest Christmas Story Ever Told, it's probably the most serious Scary-Crayon piece yet. Enjoy! And do let us know what you think, mmmkay?  😀

Oh yeah, and there are some new links on the page too -- they're noted in the Site Talk block on the content pages. Ja!

I promise the next update will be an actual article. In the meantime, enjoy "A Masochist's Wet Dream, No. 1"! Starring your friend and mine, the Chatterer.
