Category: SC Updates

For today's update, Splinter and Mummato explore the mysteries of Whitehall pasteurized processed sandwich slices. And for the Buffy fans out there, the cheese guy from "Restless" also makes a screencapped appearance. Enjoy!

Speaking of Buffy, the season finale of "Angel" will be airing tonight. I'll definitely be there to say farewell. It's been my favorite television show for a while -- even though I wasn't too keen on the first third/half of this final season -- but I'm also kinda glad that it's ending, since this way the show won't have the opportunity to really dip into crapville like Buffy did before the end. Season 6 had its moments, but mostly it was pretty shallow and even repulsive, and Season 7 was just awful in every respect... You may have heard me mention this before, but anytime you have supposedly intelligent characters who try to record the taunts of a spiritual power -- who can appear to and speak to one person, to the exclusion of all others -- with a freaking wire -- and it works -- you're not dealing with high art anymore. Sure, Buffy often had a slightly campy feel to it, but that's just BAD.

Oh, and I actually went through the old posts and switched the image links for all of the January posts and a few of the February ones from relative to absolute...so eventually someday they'll all be in working order, I think. I'm also considering switching over to a self-contained program for my blogging needs -- Greymatter's one possibility; Movable Type is another. And then there's Coranto. Problem is, I'd need help installing them... Meh. VHEE ZHALL ZHEE.

Apparently, last night Amanda had the urge to write a song. On that note (pun intended), here's a special treat for bloggers with masochistic inclinations and the ability to play mp3s -- you get to hear me sing. It's a short little number I wrote myself...hope you like it.

And speaking of Amandas, I swung by the Hot Abercrombie Chick's blog today...and what she writes in this post from about a week ago is quite similar to some of the thoughts I had last Friday (the post also talks about the event at which yesterday's photo was taken). She gets way more comments than I do, so I'll have to check out the discussion that followed to see if anyone had any interesting meditations on the subject.

So that's enough for today, then. Enjoy the Whitehall feature on SC, enjoy the special appearance by the CRAYON BEAST in the updated SC favicon (assuming you can see it in 16 x 16 pixels...), and enjoy my singing as best you can. Ja for now!
