Short stories on Scary-Crayon???

''Two Minutes on the Metro''

Yep! Fiction comes to Scary-Crayon with "Two Minutes on the Metro", a short piece I wrote like over a year ago and wanted to do something with. So give it a read and let me know what you think!

Fun fact: The images used to add a bit of color to the visual presentation are actually photos of the TMNT Sewer Lair playset (in which Donatello utilizes an abandoned subway car for his workshop), with various filters applied to them in my graphics editor. Keen!

So yeah, enjoy the story! Leave comments, send e-mails. Aaaand... ja!

I really, really enjoyed this. Reminds me a lot of my silent bus rides to and from school, when all the other students were yelling about how much pussy they were getting, I was sitting and thinking deep.

Do you have any more of those magic mushrooms?

I liked it. You mentioned you didn't want to continue it because you felt a sense of completeness. But it would be cool if you continued it, maybe it could be like one chapter of a whole? book?

That was good, but somehow I'm guessing it's not quite all that "fictional," is it?

  • Wes says:

Well it's not quite autobiographical -- while the young man's thoughts are ones that I've had at one time or another (which I guess is a given, since I wrote the story and all), I've never applied for a job at a bookstore-cafe in a metro-accessible city. Nor was I ever blocked on the metro by a slow-moving old man!
