So it's 2005 -- best wishes for everyone in the new year. Of course, soon enough I'll have my depressing recap of the past year and my even more depressing projections for the coming year (coupled with my annual hope/wish/plea/prayer that this year is my last), but in the meantime here are a few pics to help you usher in the new year in your own homes.

First, yet another pic of my room! This one was taken from the doorway, so you can see my computer chair and stuff. I spend lots of time there, working diligently on the Scary-Crayon By the way, the site will be having its one-year anniversary/birthday on January 25, so stay tuned for more updates on that. I'll hopefully have a celebratory testimonial article to commemorate the occasion (in addition to some articles in the spirit of our launch pieces), so if you've got any kind words and/or well-wishes for the continued "success" of the site feel free to shoot those my way for inclusion in that. Also, we're looking for photos of fans holding up crayons and related site stuff (for example, action figures), so feel free to send one of those too -- especially if you're hot. Gift artwork in the spirit of the site is also welcome.

And here's a shot of Bacardi in my room! In all likelihood, you'll probably see this one again on SC in the near future, perhaps with a few lines of rhyming verse. Working title: "Bacardi in Wonderland".

And I know it's been a while since there's actually been a food article on the site -- with all of the work I've been doing, I haven't been around much to actually put together Random Lunches these days, but to ring in the new year I did sit down to create the above concoction. I'm thinking I'll do something similar tomorrow, so perhaps the new year will see a new food article on SC! And I've got lots of food pieces backlogged; just need to get around to editing the graphics and writing up those pieces and whatnot. Maybe I'll start trying to do one of those per week or something. Feel free to guess what's in the above thing, but hopefully you'll find out soon when the revised version appears as a SC recipe!

I'm also hoping to get a New Year's Hot Flash together for tomorrow, but we'll see. Wish me luck!
