Thus revealed, the creature buried its nose in the tire-tilled soil...

A dream.
Category: Dreams

First off, Mac made reference to my previous entry (click or scroll down, as usual) in a post entitled "Destroyed for lack of knowledge?" Naturally, I don't agree with everything he says -- I may write more about it later, but suffice it to say that I don't think the Bible should be the standard of morality as far as our laws are concerned -- but we do seem to be in agreement that Kevin McCullough's article was pretty muddled and made little sense. And even with Dawn's clarification, I'd probably have disagreed with his point (see my comment in Mac's blog), but maybe he might've given a good argument in support of it. I can't say, though, since he didn't bother to make the argument in the article. 😛

SO! I had no funny April Fool's Day jokes or gags for you yesterday. But I have a dream for you now. Enjoy! (more...)

Lavu Lavu!
Category: Serious

It's been a while since we've had a substantial post. I meant to detail those wacked-out recent dreams of mine, but they can wait.

Blogger pal Dawn has written another entry addressing the issue of same-sex marriage, cleverly titled "There's Something About 'Marry'". She begins her post by noting a "typical tactic" used by those in favor of same-sex marriage to discredit their opponents: "creating the impression of moral equivalency so people will believe that any opposition to homosexual marriage equals bigotry." Scary-Crayon received a donation!
Category: SC Updates

Yep! This morning Scary-Crayon received its first reader donation. This is great news for SC and a feel-good moment for me -- I've visited and enjoyed a number of sites, but unless the club pack I ordered from I-Mockery counts (and even then I got something for it), I've never donated anything to them. Maybe that's just because I'm cheap (and haven't worked in a while, so I don't have that much in my dwindling bank account to spare), but still, that someone would donate anything to SC says to me that someone really likes our material. Given the time and energy I put into the site, that makes me glad. 🙂 (more...)

Scary-Crayon updated!
Category: SC Updates

Well, it's done. Nearly 6000 words and 150 screencaps. BEHOLD!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Anime Review: Episode 2.

We are not worthy.

On a related note, on this page you will find a picture of a male turtle letting his penis hang out. It comes out of their tails, you know. And for the Christian bloggers who drop by, here's a thought -- if God created everything, that means God also sat around and said, "Hmm. I think I'll give turtles massive penises that come out of their tails. Yup." I don't know about you, but I think that's kinda creepy.

So yeah, it's finally done. Hopefully visitors will once again flock to SC and drive the bandwidth up so high that I fear that if it continues at that rate I might have to shut down the site. Many people will come from afar to view the wacky! That makes me glad. And I am exhausted. So I'm gonna go collapse now.

After I eat some potato chips or something.

Three photos and a poem.
Category: Miscellany

First off, I've made a great deal of progress on the second TMNT anime review, so it looks like you can expect it on Tuesday after all. It should only end up being two pages, but it'll be two ACTION-PACKED pages, and besides, hardly anyone ever reaches the third anyway. So that's that.

I'm in kind of a dreamy, hazy mood tonight. I think it has a lot to do with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, or maybe it has something to do with the interesting and brilliant and delicious concoction I just finished spooning down. Here, have a picture.

Mmmm...

Any guesses as to what that is? No? It's dry oatmeal in a bowl with milk, 1.5 tablespoons of melted chunky peanut butter, Boulaine Creme De Cacao liqueur, and Boulaine Banana liqueur. It is truly excellent -- like chocolate and bananas and peanut butter and, uh, some oatmeal. I'm seriously considering making another bowl of the stuff. (more...)
