Scary-Crayon Updated!
Category: SC Updates

Wild Boar Alien and Kain return for more cheesy graham goodness in A Random Lunch #3. Enjoy!

Also, as those of you visiting SC with Netscape/Mozilla might have noticed, I made a favicon file for the site. 16 x 16 pixels is hardly enough space for a MASTER ARTIST to work, but I tried my best to draw a glowing crayon with several pairs of SPOOKY GLOWING EYES in the background. How'd I do? Comments welcome.

All for now -- perhaps I'll be back later with a post to clear some of these windows off of my desktop. In the meantime, read about the cheesy grahams, eh?

See you, space cowboy...

That. was. um... interesting.
Category: Miscellany

So as I wrote in the previous post that I probably would, yesterday I cut my hair and did the Metro trek thing, stopping off at White Flint, Pentagon City, and Crystal City before finally getting off in Chinatown and making my way to the gathering of networking alums. The first part of the day was pretty routine. Picked up a few more figures at White Flint who will undoubtedly be appearing on Scary-Crayon in the near future; took lots of new photos in Crystal City. But then I found myself footing it across DC in the heat to eventually arrive at a small basement on 18th Street... And wow, that was weird stuff. (more...)

Scary-Crayon Updated!

Part of me feels like I should be shot for writing this ever, let alone posting it on Scary-Crayon, but here we go -- a loose translation and summary of Virgil's Aeneid, lines 1-267, entitled "Aeneas in da 'Hood". Yes, I took the Aeneid and made it urban. As noted in the disclaimer, it was actually my Latin III project, on which I actually received an A... Why? I don't know. Nor am I exactly sure why our teacher approved it. Well, there it is, alongside a bunch of scans that are marginally related to the action of the "poem". Enjoy... (more...)

Category: Miscellany

Well, I wrote this up around 6 AM this morning, but the SFTP socket or whatever was being screwy so it's just now getting posted. ENJOY.

Did I mention how greatly I dislike the Blogger redesign? Oh, I mean I'm sure it's not that bad, and I'll get used to it eventually, but right now I'm just missing my most recently updated blog links. Ah well, at least it'll keep the sidebar from sagging too much further... (more...)

Uhmmm...does Blogger look whacked out to anyone else? Does anyone else miss the old Blogger design? Or am I the only one?

Speaking of new designs, Scary-Crayon is back with a makeover! Utilizing the knowledge that fashionable women have known for centuries, I've decided to go with a slimming new vertical stripey background. Irregular, because at first I was thinking I'd try to make it look like a really wrinkled curtain, but I neglected to take into account that I was working on a zoomed-in display so I ended up with that. And then I really liked it! So there we are. The section archive pages, as well, have been done up in the new look of the main page, and the archive links are now accompanied by my ol' pals the SCARY FACES. I <3 Scary Faces. (more...)
