Cyber Shredder artwork! And computer trouble.
Category: Art

So I'm having a bit of a problem with the computer right now. Tried to run the virus scanner but after the thing ran for about an hour and a half (no viruses found thus far) and had still gone almost nowhere I opened up the window to find that it had wasted most of that time scanning some temporary internet files, yet these files didn't go away when I cleared the IE cache. Grrr! So I stopped the virus scanner to go get rid of these -- apparently I'm supposed to run Disk Cleanup to get rid of them -- and Disk Cleanup won't run. It starts, but then it hangs while scanning old files for compression purposes so that it can tell me how much space I'd stand to gain by letting it do its cleaning work. I DON'T CARE; I JUST WANT THE FILES GONE! So yeah, it's pissing me off. (more...)

THE CAT WITH HANDS

The Cat With Hands is one of the creepiest short films I've ever seen -- hell, it's one of the creepiest things I've seen, period -- so I just had to draw my own. What do you think? Comment! (more...)

A quiz, links, a drawing, AMCWTW, and the Flash...
Category: Art … Meme

From Amanda, who got it from Jenica (who's been added to the links, though I've taken the liberty of shortening her blog title -- I'd Rather Be A Mermaid Than A Flame -- for aesthetic reasons), a quiz.

6.25 %

My weblog owns 6.25 % of me.

Does your weblog own you?

I probably would've scored even lower had it not been for the question about whether you dream about meeting other people you only know from their blogs and the internet. I wouldn't say that I dream about it -- in that I fantasize about meeting them and give serious thought to what I would say if I ever happened upon them in person -- but I would like to meet most of the people whose blogs are linked in the sidebar. And I did have that dream about meeting Caren (read about it here, and whoa, has it been a month already?), so I answered yes. And while I'm at it, congrats to Caren regarding the rising success of her new book, and my thanks to her for the link. Anyway, there's another quiz window I can close. (more...)

Filler. (With a new drawing!)
Category: Art … Dreams

This has been a pretty craptacular week for me, so I'm thinking tomorrow night I'll go ahead and give the childhood post a go. There are so many things that have changed for the worse since my childhood, but I'm going to limit it to one topic of discussion -- should keep it from being the novel that I'm erratically working on (which is mostly based on my life). Besides, it's the topic I hate, and I'd hate to drag it out (though I may very well do just that, cursing under my breath the whole way through). There's a reason I can't really get my fingers into this novel, folks -- because every time I really start thinking about it I get so disgusted that I have to eat a bunch of candy and go to sleep in the hopes that I'll have some really neat dreams to make me feel better. Argh. (more...)

Excerpt & a surprise!
Category: Art

I got a bit of sleep. Feel a little better now. I'm not sure how substantial that last post was, and I wanted to do another post, so here, an excerpt on some loftier topics (I think/hope) -- not necessarily loftier than the last post, but loftier than M&Ms. It originally appeared as a response to someone on a Buffy posting thread, who basically reprimanded me for being overly analytical in my episode reviews. Enjoy! And at the end of the excerpt...I've got a surprise for you. (more...)
