Becky: It just sort of falls into my lap!

De: True -- which is probably why only Steel and potentially other American Gladiators come to my mind. They may have to import foreign talent to play Wonder Woman! That said, I think Kristin Kreuk as (a younger, Alpha-generation) Chun-Li is starting to work for me, so maybe one of the waify actresses could pull off a Diana that would satisfy me.

Or maybe not, since I actually thought Lynda Carter was too small for the role. The way the costume just sort of hangs off of her makes it hard for me to even want to watch this WW Season 2 DVD set!

Dave: There have been Wonder Men in the comics -- they generally come from alternate gender-reversed universes. So there is a precedent, but I'm not sure that the idea of a Wonder Man film would prove popular enough to warrant the execs greenlighting it. And personally? I probably wouldn't want to see it. I'd definitely be interested in seeing a movie about a gender-reversed Justice League, though! Female Brainiac for the win.

TAB's pretty gung ho about there being a female Doctor. (On Dr. Who, not in real life, because that would be absurd). How about a male Wonder Woman?

As far as Wonder Woman goes, the whole notion of Amazon is going to be tough to work in. The character has always been associated with "hot" and the current crop of starlets are tiny waifs whereas Lynda Carter (back in the 1970s) was relatively normal-sized.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit it took me far too long to think of the one guess, viz. the missing belly button. I was too busy downing shots of Bubbleshock and wishing I lived across the road from 13 Bannerman Road...so when I had the Bubbleshock fit and needed to be saved, well...my across-the-road neighbor could help. ;-)
