Sometimes sellers specify that buyers need a certain feedback rating to be able to bid in the first place (and can cancel bids if buyers don&#039;t meet those requirements), but other than that it doesn&#039;t really have much of an effect. Except, of course, for the fact that nobody likes having black marks on his/her record, which is why sellers have been able to extort positive feedback ratings from so many buyers (myself included).</description>

		<description>Yeah, it does seem a little useless if feedback is kind of used a blackmail maneuver.  If a buyer pays promptly, then I don&#039;t see how a seller should be able leave negative feedback -- seems like a smart move, esp. when buyers win the auction regardless of feedback (right?).</description>
