April 1, 2008
It is the first of April! Head on over to Scary-Crayon (or visit this page if you visit after April 1) to check out our little goof. As you can see, he's back!
In other news, here are some photos from my ever-expanding DC Comics action figure collection. Some of us have t-shirts, I have toys.

I'm still lovin' Grodd, but I so need a proper Brainiac figure.
He's a cute dog -- looks just like Reese (so of course, I'm biased).
The dog is very cute.
There is nothing wrong with too much action figures.
Once I get over this t-shirt obsession (two more on their way, both related to Who), I may jump in to Who action figures. I wondered outloud at the factory today about the possibility of hiding a micro figure in my mouth and how such behavior may impact my ability to work the phones...
And Barcardi says, "We are not amused in the least. Please, I beg you forsooth, remove thyself from my grill and kindly put thy camera down amongst the rushes."
Which Brainiac are you looking for? The kick-ass 80s-robot Brainiac was available from both DC Direct (as part of their Crisis line) and Mattel. If you're looking for the animated series style, there's the tiny JLU figure and the old Hasbro figure from the Superman line (also tiny).
Mickey: Or you could just get one of the larger Sarah Jane figures and use her like a lollipop.
And Bacardi was fine -- I was using the zoom, so I wasn't quite that close to him! Plus he'll definitely growl when he's annoyed, which he did not do here.
De: I'm not sure that I'm looking for any of the current Brainiac figures, actually! I'd go for the robot Brainiac if I could find it cheap, but otherwise I'm not all that keen on the design. I really like the Brainiac-13 that DC Direct put out a while back, but a) he's rare and sort of expensive, and b) he's not really the original Brainiac! (Not that that's incredibly important, but still.) And while I was tempted to get the Ross Justice version for a while, the lack of articulation on him bothers me.
And yeah, I've got the JLU version, but he's rather tiny... so unless Mattel releases some images on an upcoming Brainiac in the DCUC line, I may have to try my hand at another custom repaint or something.
Taz Flash doesn't count.
