Thus revealed, the creature buried its nose in the tire-tilled soil...

Finally, a short post. Kinda.
Category: Miscellany

I am still awake from last night. I haven't slept. Soon, hopefully.

I wonder if it has something to do with that utterly terrifying dream I had the previous night? I have a lot of really weird dreams, but they don't usually continue to scare me after I wake from them -- but that one had me trembling underneath my covers and trying to convince myself that the thing from my dream wasn't still prowling around in my room. It was one of those dreams where you're not really sure you were asleep, so you're not really sure that being awake makes much of a difference -- because you might have been awake before, too. Though I must have been asleep when that thing was there. Right?

Anyway, I'm still up. I walked to the hobby shop to pick up some clay and glue and paint, and ended up getting some magnetic tape as well -- I'm planning to try to make a suit of Shredder armor for one of my Raphael figures. Did I mention this before? I figure it'll be neat if the magnetic tape works, since then the armor can be easily removed and replaced. Should be a fun project, whenever I get around to it. Not today.

And while I was out, I popped in Toys 'R' Us and had a look around. ZOIDS are discounted now -- I almost bought one, but it was a T-Rex thing that looked more like a bear so I put it back. If it'd been a legitimate T-Rex -- or something else that looked kinda like a T-Rex -- I'd have been all over it. (Well, there was one, but it was one of the larger and hence more expensive toys.) I did, however, see a robotic crayfish toy, which made me think of Lobby and Deb (hope her dad gets well soon :/). I passed on it, but there were a handful of the buggers, so if they're still there the next time I go back I'll pick one up. And a T-Rex thing, if I run into one. I love T-Rexes, and robotic ones are grrrreat. Like our pal Devil Shredder.

I did also see, for the first time ever at Toys 'R' Us, Creepy Freaks. I'm already quite familiar with the buggers -- having written a 6,600+ word review of their 15-minute cartoon -- so I wasn't shocked that they were there, but the price tag certainly threw me for a loop. I paid $1.50 for the starter kit, and I routinely see it on clearance for that price, because nobody wants the damned thing even for $1.50 -- though I'll admit that with four figurines and a dvd, the set's worth more than that. However, it's definitely not worth the $12.99 Toys 'R' Us was hocking it for. They had a ton of the sets, too -- wonder how long it'll take them to break out the red-orange stickers and make with the markdowns. Vhee zhall zhee, vohn't vhee?

These three recent posts are also worth a look, if you haven't already seen them. But they're long. You've been warned! 🙂

Here's hoping I pass out after getting some food.
